    Although the content of the website is a mixed bag, the presentation is brilliant. One fact I discovered was that in the CofE, the reading of banns substitutes for a legal marriage license. Interesting idea in our current environment.

    I did notice that they only cite the law as their reason for not doing same sex marriages. They give no theological reason. So I assume the C of E would be happy doing them, but for the current state of the law.

    CofE weddings are expensive – over $500! In the US the state license is about $50 in some states and clergy will marry people at no cost if asked. If marriage is a sacrament it should be as free as grace.
